A lot more of the Christmas decorations came down inside today. I should be finished tomorrow. My husband waits until after New Year’s to do the outside. We fill an entire 12′ x 12′ shed with decorations so it’ll be a rough couple of days to finish those. Still, I’m looking forward to the new year.
I will keep cutting for another week or so. I’d like to have at least 50 cut. I have 10 snowball quilts planned but, I’ll probably cut those as I go. They’re mostly only general plans and I haven’t calculated the number of cut pieces or yardage needed yet.
I’m trying to cut a mixture of scrap quilts, 3 Yard Quilts, stand alone patterns, and some that require a bit more cutting each day.
Here are the next 6 on the list:
#16 Waggly Tail by Bdieges Designs

#17 In a Flash from the Fabric Café 3- Yard Quilts book – Quick as a Wink

#18 Illusions from the Fabric Café book – Modern Views with 3-Yard Quilts

#19 Jimmy John – a free pattern from Jo’s Country Junction I used my 2.5″ rail fence scraps rather than the jelly roll the pattern requires. I also drafted mine to be a bit smaller than the pattern’s 66.5″ x 86″.

#20 Matthew – from the book Fat Quarter Baby by It’s Sew Emma

You can see the quilts in the book in this short video.
#21 Pinwheel Party also from the Fabric Café 3- Yard Quilts book – Quick as a Wink I used the 3″ finished half square triangle Go Cutter die to cut the pinwheels. And, I followed Mary’s tip about putting the two sides of the strips you’re cutting, right sides together so you can pick them up in pairs to sew. It’s a great tip and makes the units even that much quicker to piece.
